Exposed to dance Music at a young age, DJ Raff learned the basics of turntables by 14 through a childhood friend and turned professional disc jockey by 2001 in the infamous Porch Bar along Bautista Avenue, Palanan, Makati, Philippines. His skills were further honed by ABG’s legend, DJ Patch (Jimmy Gustilo) exposing him to House Music and its sub-genres and roots in Disco. He would then perform for other establishments in Makati and Malate such as Acquario, Flute, K8, Bed, Pravda, Dusk and Absinth. Eventually he would make special guest performances for other venues outside the Metro that includes a San Miguel Event in Puerto Galera, Mindoro with DMC World Champion Sir Scratch from 2002-2004. He would then perform for different events from Weddings, Corporate Events, private parties and would sometimes perform for FM radio station RX 93.1 Remix Fridays with DJ McCoy from 11pm-3am.
